Freeriding
The possibilities for off piste skiing in the Free Ride Paradise here are endless and vastly undiscovered. With two thousand meters of vertical descent from the Passo Salati, you are clearly spoilt for choice. Steep couloirs filled with snow or open fields of untracked powder are guaranteed to fatigue even the strongest of legs. Hidden itineraries which lead you to excellent snow even days after the last big dump are waiting to fulfil a life's dream. It's all here waiting for you to discover. Fantastic routes between old Walser hamlets and hidden among the trees of the Natural Park Alta Valsesia await you; providing fields of virgin snow instead of kilometres of slopes. The meeting point for the free riders is the Salati pass 2971, entrance gate to the Monte Rosa, a few minutes from Rifugio Guglielmina. From Salati pass, with short tours of ski mountaineering you got the acces to the best of piste area of the Monte Rosa.
Free ride with the IFMGA mountain guides
Lyskamm mountain guides of Alagna (all IFMGA qualified) are the specialists of Alagna's free ride area. The free ride with us is to surf the mountain on ski in harmony with the terrain. We use wide-shaped skis that allow us to surf over the powder snow rather than submarine through it. The sensation of floating at high speed is hard to beat as you glide with large sweeping turns off-piste. We'll explore the terrain and develop your technique so you'll excel thanks to your skills and never look back! Rely on the mountain guides to find the most exciting heliskiing of the Monte Rosa and discover, with people born on these mountains, the vastness of the area still not reached by the slopes.
