Spring is made for skiing aroud Monte Rosa

You must do the spring tour around Monte Rosa because a single perspective is never enough. With your backpack on, free heels and heart pounding; in spring the valleys of Monte Rosa are simply wonderful.

 

Program

1st day

Monterosaski day: you learn how to use skins on your skis, familiarizing yourself with the free heel skiing method and skins, we prepare our backpacks and get ready for the tour. Dinner and overnight in RIfugio Gabiet, charming vintage base camp for all the monte Rosa tours

2nd day

We reach Antagnod to climb the Colle del Pillonet and ski up to Chamois. We continue using skins to reach Cheneil where we stop for dinner and overnightto.

3rd day

Ceneil, Valtournenche and then Cervinia to explore the most famous off-piste area in the Aosta Valley, dinner and overnight stay at the Teodulo refuge

4th day

Direction Zermatt in the early morning: with the lifts up to Plateau Rosa or directly from the Teodulo refuge. With the skins we will reach the Colle della Porta Nera to ski the entire glacier. Dinner and overnight in Zermatt

5th day

Using the lifts of the small Matterhorn to ascend and return to the Aosta Valley along the Valle di Cime Bianche or along the Verra Glacier and return to Gressoney arriving in the afternoon.

The programme could undergo daily changes made by the guide, with the agreement of the participants, taking into account snow and weather conditions and technical level of the group

Ski guide of Alagna or Gressoney the 5 days of the tour, half board 4 days, ski guide half board, Monterosaski pass with Zermatt included, technical equipment (harness, crampons), safety kit (avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe).
