Antica processione Walser

ore 13.30:

“Van dam chapulti under d’flua” – dalla cappelletta in roccia, sotto la parete di Flua, sul sentiero che sale al rifugio Barba Ferrero, di fronte alla parete valsesiana del Monte Rosa, la processione del rosario fiorito scenderà passando per gli alpeggi di Safejaz, Blatte, Bitz, Pile e Stiga sino all’oratorio di S. Antonio abate.

Ore 16.00:

Alla chiesetta di S. Antonio, a conclusione del rosario fiorito, verrà celebrata una S. Messa te deum, quale voto di amore alla montagna da parte del popolo Walser e di ringraziamento per la passata stagione estiva.

Preghiere e canti nell’antica lingua madre saranno lette e recitate dai fedeli che parteciperanno alla processione nei tradizionali costumi d’epoca.

Ancient Walser Procession

1:30 PM:

“Van dam chapulti under d’flua” – Starting from the small rock chapel beneath the Flua cliff—located on the trail ascending to the Barba Ferrero refuge, facing the Monte Rosa’s Valsesian face—the “Rosario FIorito” procession will descend, passing through the alpine pastures of Safejaz, Blatte, Bitz, Pile, and Stiga, to reach the Oratory of Saint Antonio the Abbot.

4:00 PM:

At the small church of Saint Antonio, following the conclusion of the rosario fiorito, a *Te Deum* Mass will be celebrated. This service serves as a vow of love for the mountains from the Walser people and an act of thanksgiving for the past summer season.

Prayers and hymns in the ancient mother tongue will be recited and sung by the faithful participating in the procession, who will be dressed in traditional period costumes.
