Situato a 2.901 metri di quota sul Col d’Olen, l’Istituto Mosso fu fondato nel 1907 dal fisiologo torinese Angelo Mosso, pioniere negli studi sull’adattamento del corpo umano all’altitudine.
Oggi fa parte del sistema di stazioni di ricerca dell’Università degli Studi di Torino ed è uno dei più alti laboratori scientifici permanenti in Europa.
La visita, oltre a offrire panorami spettacolari sull’intero massiccio del Monte Rosa, consente di scoprire un patrimonio di ricerca e conoscenza che ha reso Alagna un punto di riferimento internazionale per la scienza in alta quota.

Located at 2,901 meters above sea level on Col d’Olen, the Mosso Institute was founded in 1907 by the Turin physiologist Angelo Mosso, a pioneer in studies on the adaptation of the human body to altitude.
Today it is part of the research station system of the University of Turin and is one of the highest permanent scientific laboratories in Europe.
The visit, in addition to offering spectacular views of the entire Monte Rosa massif, allows you to discover a heritage of research and knowledge that has made Alagna an international point of reference for high-altitude science.

The San Lorenzo Factory was historically used for processing gold extracted from the mines. The restoration of the San Lorenzo Factory allows visitors to see how the stone was crushed for the final extraction of gold.
Full admission €6 – reduced €4
