You can contact the Continuity of Care Service when immediate but non-emergency medical assistance is needed – in cases where the condition cannot wait until the following day to be addressed by your regular doctor.
The Continuity of Care Doctor may:
provide medical advice over the phone;
invite the patient to the medical center for in-office evaluation;
carry out a home visit, if the patient’s clinical condition requires it;
refer the patient to more suitable facilities and/or activate the Emergency Medical Service if home care is not appropriate.
This service is free of charge for all residents or individuals domiciled within the ASL Vercelli area.
For non-residents or those not assisted by ASLVC General Practitioners, the following fees apply:
Office medical visit: €20.00
Home medical visit: €35.00
(Payment via notice issued after the consultation.)
